Wi-Fi 6 or WiFi 6, also known as 802.11ax, is the sixth generation of Wi-Fi technology.
Wi-Fi 6 is a Wi-Fi specification standard after WiFi 5 (802.11ac). The term “WiFi 6” was coined in 2018 by the Wi-Fi Alliance when they decided to rename Wi-Fi generations with simple version numbers.
